B Mayacama Mountains Set of two

This original oil was inspired by a spring day in the California Wine Country'ss Mayacama mountain range stretching from the western edge of Sonoma county known as the Valley of the Moon through Kenwood, Glen Ellen and the town of Sonoma. The foothills, once scorched by fires, are coming alive again. The bluffs of vibrant yellow greens, rocks of blue and orange poppies frame a valley of soft ochre yellow. In the South of France this vibrant yellow orange is knows as the "Couleurs Du Solei"- or the colors of the sun. The wildflowers strike alizari-crimson cabernet colors begging the same new vines to grow again some of the finest red wines in the world.
