Artist Statement
This classic impressionist work captures the fleeting magic of high-country autumn along an icy mountain stream. Executed with signature alla prima technique, magnificent buttery yellows and deep ochre impasto strokes bring the shimmering aspen canopy to life against the steady green of mountain pines. Resting at the frost-kissed shore, warm golden light reflects off cool, quiet waters—inviting the viewer to feel the sharp bite of impending winter and the quiet majesty of the alpine wilderness
