This panoramic work celebrates a golden blaze across the valley floor, capturing the transition where the fierce heat of the day subsides and the cooling dusk begins to settle. I translated the raw energy of the land through my hands, sculpting the scene on the canvas. As the air cools, the dull grays of the highway turn to tempered magentas and purple strikes, bidding farewell to the harvest intensity. Through bold, sweeping, impasto strokes of ochre, orange, violet, and greens, the viewer is immersed in autumn's rhythm of the land as the valley takes a breath from summer's heat and welcomes the cool of the season to come.
