This original oil was inspired first by mountain tops peaking through the river of clouds with bright swipes of caramel and blue, coffee and copper hues. After resetting the horizon line to the lower third of the canvas, the stormy sky was developed now transforming the suspended clouds, rushing water of the Mystic River. This has strong sepia tones with light grays, tans and blues crating a perfect neutral with strong, grounded earth tones.
This piece sold in a solid black floater frame which gave the impression of a photograph.
